Suspicious Black Truck Reported By Shady Brook Elementary School

On Friday, December 15, 2017, at around 12:30 pm, Bedford Officers responded to Shady Brook Elementary School in the 2600 block of Shady Brook Drive in Bedford, in regards to a suspicious black truck.
The report stated that a male driving a black pick-up truk stopped near the school, along a fence line on Shady Brook Drive.andnbsp; The driver motioned in the direction of the playground where 6th grade students were playing.andnbsp; Two 6th grade students reported this incident to a teacher.
The students described the driver of the truck as a light-skinned Hispanic male.andnbsp;andnbsp;
Police interviewed students who observed the activity and their parents.andnbsp;andnbsp;
Bedford police issue the following statement, andquot;Children are our most precious resource and we would encourage parents to watch their children closely.andnbsp; In this instance, these students did the right thing by reporting the situation to an adult.andnbsp; We encourage parents, regardless of your childand#39;s age, to talk with them about Stranger Danger, and the importance of their seeking out an adult if such a situation presents itself.andquot;
