Taxi company owner admits to filing false tax returns

The owner of a Connecticut taxi company has admitted to filing false tax returns. William Scalzi, owner of West Haven-based Transportation General Inc., waived his right to be indicted and pleaded guilty Monday to subscribing a false tax return.
