1st human case of EEE found in East Lyme resident

HARTFORD –Department of Public Health Commissioner Renée D. Coleman-Mitchell said Monday an adult from East Lyme has tested positive for Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE). This is the first human case of EEE identified in Connecticut this season. The patient became ill during the last week of August with encephalitis and remains hospitalized.
